Each item is made from solid brass and goes through a 5-step process starting with raw solid brass bars being cut to size. The item is then heat forged to give it shape and design, and afterwards it is put through the stamping press to cutoff any excess material. During the fourth step the item is given 1 of the 20 Baldwin finishes, and hand coated and lacquered for anti-corrosive properties and durability. Lastly the item is hand polished and buffed to a flawless shine with a jeweler’s rouge and inspected for any imperfections, ensuring it meets the Baldwin standard.
