I'm not a contractor or pro handyman, I'm just a relatively handy homeowner and I'd never replaced a hinge before. I was impressed with the quality of this hinge and installation was really easy. The instructions were actually clear and useful. We wanted a spring on our bathroom door to keep the dog out and this does the trick easily. I'm putting another on my office door.
