Patio Deadbolt Function- Patio deadbolt operates by Thumbturn from one side only - NO KEYED CYLINDER. (One Sided - meant to be used on doors that do NOT have a hole drilled all the way through them)

Single Deadbolt Function- Single cylinder deadbolt operates with a key on the exterior and a thumbturn on the interior (For use on exterior doors where additional security is needed, pair with a keyed entry for two points of locking)

Double Deadbolt Function- Double cylinder deadbolt operates with a key on the exterior and interior (For use on exterior doors with glass panes or gates where additional security is needed)

    2. Q: I have a Sandcast Bronze Deadbolts - #1 Plate and Flap Single Cylinder Deadbolt. On the thumb turn side, the horizontal tail piece goes into a round metal piece with a rectangular slot. This round piece is held on to the back of the thumb turn with a circle clip. This round piece has broken and and the thumb turn rotates without engaging the latch and it can only be locked from the outside with a key. I need this part so I can repair the dead bolt.
