Needed a better looking, higher quality and sturdier option to the standard eye hook for a door locking mechanism. This latch is all of these. It has a bit of adjustable length that allows it to bridge the opening between the jamb and the door it is securing, but when the lock is engaged, the escutcheon part of the lock anchored on the door is designed to hold the lock in place. More than anyone would want to know about a device you'll take for granted, but this is a good little one worth buying.
These were exactly what they were supposed to be, and I love the burst of color they added to my kitchen. They went on easy-peasy. The only problem was that the screws were too short for the drawers, so I just used the old ones.
